South Sudan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Mary Nawai Martin, has called on South Sudanese students to uphold the values of unity and peaceful coexistence, emphasizing the importance of preserving a shared national identity amidst the country’s rich cultural diversity.
The minister made these remarks while attending the annual cultural celebration of South Sudanese students as the guest of honor. The event, organized by the South Sudanese Students’ Union in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, saw wide participation from the student community and representatives of diplomatic missions.

In her address, the minister stressed that cultural diversity should be a source of strength and unity, urging students to become ambassadors of peace and mutual understanding within their communities.
She also encouraged students to remain committed to their academic pursuits, noting that education is the cornerstone of both personal and national development, and that success can only be achieved through dedication, perseverance, and hard work.
