The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in South Sudan has announced the deployment of 10 young students to Israel to participate in a hands-on training program titled “Learn & Earn.” The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to invest in human capital development and strengthen youth capacity in agriculture and innovation, two key pillars for the country’s future development.
The program aims to equip participants with technical skills and practical experience in modern agricultural techniques, while also enhancing academic and technical cooperation between South Sudan and Israel.

During the farewell ceremony, Ambassador Ajing Adiang, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the strategic importance of the initiative, stating: “Agriculture is the key to our development. We must empower our youth to lead this transformation scientifically and practically.”
Ambassador Wol Mayar stressed the value of education as a national priority, saying: “Youth education is a presidential priority. This initiative is a direct investment in the future of our nation.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Biar Deng encouraged the students to embrace innovation and foster stronger bilateral ties: “Be creative, and return with enriched minds to strengthen the bond between South Sudan and Israel.”
The launch of the program comes at a time when South Sudan is facing growing development challenges, with the government looking to empower a new generation of skilled professionals capable of contributing to a diversified and sustainable economy.
