The World Health Organization – Republic of South Sudan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, has conducted supportive supervision visits and on-the-job mentorship for health workers at stabilization centers in Pibor, Aweil North, and Al Sabah Children’s Hospital in the capital, Juba. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen nutrition services across the country.

The activities focused on enhancing the capacity of health personnel in the storage and management of severe acute malnutrition (PED/SAM) kits, as well as promoting the rational use of medicines. These efforts aim to improve the quality of nutrition services provided to children.

This initiative was made possible through generous support from the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid, reflecting the continued commitment of international partners to supporting South Sudan’s health system and improving the well-being of the most vulnerable children.
