South Sudan’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Presents Credentials to King Charles III

In a formal ceremony held at St. James’s Palace in London on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, H.E. Ambassador Nickson Deng Peter Kuccath presented his credentials to His Majesty King Charles III, officially marking the beginning of his tenure as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Sudan to the United Kingdom.

The ceremony was conducted in a distinguished official atmosphere, during which King Charles warmly welcomed Ambassador Kuccath and expressed his best wishes for the success of his mission and for the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two nations.

Following the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Kuccath held an in-depth discussion with His Majesty the King, where they addressed several key topics of mutual interest. The talks highlighted the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS), South Sudan’s efforts in wildlife and environmental conservation, and the positive role played by the South Sudanese community in the UK.

Ambassador Kuccath expressed his deep appreciation for the warm reception, reaffirming South Sudan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with the United Kingdom and strengthening the bonds of friendship and partnership across various sectors.
