President Salva Kiir Discusses Development and Regional Cooperation with Vice President Rebecca Nyandeng

His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit held an important meeting on Monday with Vice President for Gender and Youth Cluster, Mrs. Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior, at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Juba. The discussions focused on the latest political, social, and economic developments in the country.

During the meeting, Vice President Nyandeng briefed the President on the details of her recent official visit to Uganda, where she met with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Kampala. The talks between the two leaders addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, matters of mutual interest, and efforts to promote regional peace.

President Kiir and Vice President Nyandeng reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing national unity, and accelerating the path toward peace, stability, and sustainable development in South Sudan. They emphasized that cooperation among state institutions is key to achieving the aspirations of the people for a better future.

The meeting also stressed the importance of strengthening internal cooperation between leaders and the broader community to promote national cohesion, consolidate civil peace, and reinforce South Sudan’s regional and international role.
