Juba – Alaeim Mubarak Kuol
The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, officially opened the Juba Economic Forum today, organized by the Central Equatoria Business Union at the premises of the Bank of South Sudan in the capital, Juba.
The forum is being held under the theme: “Commercial Agriculture: A Pathway to Economic Stability”, and aims to highlight the importance of commercial agriculture as a strategic tool for driving economic growth and achieving food security in the country.
The event brings together government officials, business leaders, investors, and agricultural experts to discuss practical approaches to transforming agriculture into a productive and sustainable sector that contributes to diversifying the national economy and reducing dependency on imports.
The forum takes place amid ongoing government efforts to strengthen public-private partnerships and promote investment in agriculture by creating a favorable environment for growth and production.
