President-elect Donald Trump has returned to the White House

President-elect Donald Trump has returned to the White House after a session with House Republicans, marking his first trip to Washington since his election win.

The president and Biden met in the Oval Office after Trump extended an invitation to his successor, a tradition not extended to Biden in 2020.

Trump expressed appreciation for a smooth transition and congratulated Biden on his return.

The two have not appeared together in public since the presidential debate this summer, where they traded insults.

House Speaker Mike Johnson praised Trump’s return as speaker, and Trump hinted at possibly altering the Constitution to carry on his leadership after his second four-year term.

Elon Musk, a major financial booster of his campaign, was in attendance, and Trump complimented his rockets.
