In a field visit aimed at enhancing cooperation and improving operational efficiency, Yei River County Commissioner Emmanuel Taban Semi visited the County Revenue Authority, where he met with staff and listened to key challenges facing revenue collection on the ground.
During the visit, Ms. unise Araba Nya-fox, Director of the Authority, welcomed the Commissioner and noted a significant improvement in revenue collection despite challenging conditions. She also highlighted confusion among some business owners regarding revenue laws, particularly concerning rent payments.

Nya-fox proposed the need for formal agreements between tenants and property owners and suggested the introduction of accurate measuring tools at fuel stations to ensure transparency and fairness in fuel quantities sold.
Meanwhile, Mr. Robert Guya, head of the Council’s Guard Unit, called for timely salary payments, the provision of educational materials, and adequate transport facilities to ensure the effective delivery of services.
Commissioner Emmanuel assured the staff that their concerns would be taken seriously and emphasized that he would coordinate with the County Executive Director to address the raised issues effectively.
