Yei Joint Stars Crush Kator 20-0 in Women’s League

Yei Joint Stars overwhelmed their opponents Kator Juba with a staggering 20-0 victory in a postponed match from the second round of the inaugural South Sudan Women’s League, held at Juba National Stadium.

The team captain, Mary Anger, scored 9 of her team’s goals.

Yei Joint Stars now top the league standings with 6 points from two wins over Simba and Kator.

This edition of the Women’s League features 11 clubs following the withdrawal of St. Peter from the competition.

Simba and Wajuma Share Points

Simba Juba and Wau Juma Aweil each secured one point after drawing in the second round of the competition.

Both teams earned their first points of the tournament.

Bentiu City Defeats Al-Merrikh in Bentiu Derby

Bentiu City Women claimed an important and morale-boosting 1-0 victory over their rivals Al-Merrikh Bentiu in the Bentiu City Derby, part of the second round of the tournament.

Both teams had their first-round matches postponed against St. Peter and Kator.

Munuki 1 × 1 Al-Merrikh

Munuki and Al-Merrikh Juba drew 1-1 in a second-round match of the tournament.

Al-Merrikh raised their tally to 4 points, placing them second, while Munuki now has a single point.
