The Vice President of South Sudan and Head of the Services Cluster, Josephine Lagu Yanga, met with the Director General of the Ministry of Roads and Bridges in Central Equatoria State, Engineer Norma Charles, to discuss infrastructure conditions and the improvement of roads in agricultural zones and the development of rural areas.
Vice President Josephine reaffirmed the government’s commitment to rehabilitating and constructing feeder roads in productive agricultural areas, particularly within the Greenbelt Region. She emphasized that improving road infrastructure is a cornerstone for boosting agricultural production and rural development.
She also praised the initiative by the community of Magwi County in repairing feeder roads, commending their spirit of cooperation and proactive efforts, and underlining the importance of community-led development in achieving national goals.
The meeting served as an important platform to discuss ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects in Eastern Equatoria State, with a shared vision of improving access to markets, enhancing food security, and accelerating economic development in rural communities.
