Juba: Al-Naeim Mubarak Kuol

Security authorities in Western Equatoria State have arrested 15 individuals accused of committing disturbing crimes in the state. This action, according to government authorities, is part of efforts to address increasing security concerns due to the rising crime rates that have unsettled the local community in the region.

Acting Governor Daniel Badagbo emphasized the need for swift justice and called on the judiciary to expedite legal proceedings. He also instructed security forces to conduct a thorough investigation to identify individuals involved in committing the crimes.

The judiciary has been given 48 hours to issue verdicts, and if necessary, the suspects may be transferred to Juba for appropriate corrective measures. Security efforts will focus on restoring peace and stability in Yambio.

It is worth noting that Western Equatoria State has witnessed violent acts linked to looting, arson, and house destruction in Yambio.
