The Ministry of Health is planning to develop a healthcare strategy across the country and, in collaboration with UNICEF, has decided to integrate community network initiatives into the broader Boma Health Initiative (BHI) Strategy for the planned healthcare systems.
To support this development and strategic plan, the Ministry of Health has enlisted the expertise of “Management and Development Consulting” (M&D), which is tasked with creating a Community Network Integration Strategy for the period from 2025 to 2029. This strategy will align with the Health Sector Strategic Plan for the period 2023-2027.

Dr. Annin Ngot Ngot, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, highlighted the primary objective of validating the community network integration strategy. She said: “This initiative aims to improve healthcare delivery and community health services in South Sudan.”
Dr. Annin Ngot emphasized the need to implement programs that address all aspects of healthcare activities, stressing the importance of service delivery directly at the household level.
She further stated that focusing on access to services, sustainability, and quality is crucial, which reinforces the commitment to achieving universal health coverage throughout the country.
