Jamus Finishes The First Leg of Premier League at the Top with Win Over Holy Family

Jamus Juba finished the first leg of the inaugural South Sudan Premier League at the top of the standings after securing a 2-0 victory over their closest rivals, Holy Family Rumbek, in in a postponed match from Round 12.. The match took place at Juba National Stadium.

Jamus’ goals were scored by Christian and George in the 15th and 34th minutes of the first half.

With this result, Jamus leads the table with 35 points, extending their lead over second-placed Holy Family, who have 31 points.

Kator 3 × 1 Young Star

Kator Juba climbed to third place in the standings after defeating Young Star Torit 3-1 in a postponed match from Round 12.

The goals for Kator were scored by Dixon, Sabet, and Sandy in the 45th, 65th, and 65th minutes, respectively, while Young Star’s lone goal was netted by Uyo in the 49th minute.

This victory raised Kator’s tally to 30 points, securing third place in the standings, while Young Star remained at 10 points, sitting in 12th place.

Lion Hunters 0 × 1 Salaam

Salaam Aweil secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Lion Hunters Yei in a postponed Round 12 match.

The only goal of the match was scored by John Agak just a minute before the final whistle.

With this result, Salaam moved up to 17 points in seventh place, while Lion Hunters remain at 11 points in 10th place in the standings.

Nile City 2 × 4 Olympic

Olympic Renk secured a dominant 4-2 win over Nile City Yambio in a postponed Round 12 match.

Olympic’s goals were scored by Alkak, Charles, Uyai, and Alemin in the 7th, 12th, 43rd, and 90+5 minutes, respectively. Meanwhile, Nile City’s goals were netted by Moses in the 24th and 28th minutes.

With this result, Olympic improved their tally to 8 points, moving to 13th place, just above the bottom. Meanwhile, Nile City remains at a single point, occupying 14th and last place in the standings.

The first leg of the South Sudan Premier League season will conclude on Tuesday with a postponed Round 4 match between Olympic Renk and Wajuma Aweil at Juba National Stadium in the afternoon.
