Holy Family Rumbek continued its pursuit of league leaders Jamus after securing three more points with a commanding 4-1 victory over Olympic Renk in a rescheduled match from the first round of the South Sudan Premier League. The match took place yesterday afternoon at Juba National Stadium.

The first half ended in a goalless draw between the two teams.
However, just four minutes into the second half, Abraham Thau broke the deadlock, giving Holy Family the lead. Justin Azuma, the standout performer of the match, doubled the advantage in the 56th minute. Azuma then netted his second goal and his team’s third in the 71st minute. Olympic managed to pull one back through Aziz just three minutes later.

In stoppage time, Abraham Thau sealed the victory with his second goal, making it 4-1 at the final whistle.
With this win, Holy Family solidified its position in second place with 31 points, just one point behind leaders Jamus. Meanwhile, Olympic remained in 13th place with only 5 points.
Al-Hilal 4 × 1 Nile City
Al-Hilal Wau secured back-to-back victories, this time defeating Nile City Yambio 4-1 in another rescheduled first-round match held yesterday at Buluk Playground.

Al-Hilal wasted no time, as star player Fadhul opened the scoring just four minutes after kickoff. Rihan added the second goal in the 14th minute, but Peter pulled one back for Nile City in the 36th minute, ending the first half with Al-Hilal leading.

After the break, Fadhul extended Al-Hilal’s lead with his second goal in the 58th minute. Santio then wrapped up the scoring with a fourth goal in the 75th minute, securing a dominant 4-1 victory.

The win lifted Al-Hilal to ninth place with 13 points, while Nile City remained at the bottom of the table with just one point.
