Al-Malakia Continues to Shine, Defeats Bentiu City with a Three-Goal Victory

Al-Malakia Juba extended its impressive run of form with a convincing 3-0 victory over Bentiu City in a rescheduled Round 12 match of the Premier League, held yesterday afternoon at the Juba National Stadium.

The goals for Al-Malakia were scored by Kassimo, Kenedy, and Emmanuel in the 30th, 45+3rd, and 49th minutes, respectively.

This win marks Al-Malakia’s third consecutive victory in the league, following triumphs over Wau Goma, Nile City, and Bentiu City.

As a result, Al-Malakia boosted its tally to 20 points, solidifying its position in sixth place on the league table. Meanwhile, Bentiu City continues to struggle, sitting in tenth place with 11 points, having lost its last four matches in the competition.

Al-Salam 2 × 2 Young Stars

In another rescheduled match from Round 5, Al-Salam Aweil held Young Stars Torit to a 2-2 draw in an exciting encounter at Buluk Playground yesterday afternoon.

The first half ended in a goalless draw.

Young Stars took the lead with two quick goals in the 52nd and 54th minutes, scored by James Joseph and Geoffrey. However, Al-Salam fought back, with Deng Mao reducing the deficit in the 74th minute, before Ayok equalized in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

With this result, Al-Salam moved up to 14 points, securing eighth place in the standings, while Young Stars remains in 12th place with 10 points.

Two rescheduled matches from Round 1 are set to take place today:

  • Hilal Wau vs. Nile City Yambio at Buluk Playground in the afternoon.
  • Olympic Renk vs. Holy Family Rumbek at Juba National Stadium in the afternoon.
