Report: Al-Naeim Mubarak Kuol

Believing in the role of traditional leaders in achieving stability among local communities and promoting a culture of peace and peaceful coexistence, the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan organized a training course to enhance human rights for community traditional leaders.

The workshop targeted 25 national traditional leaders in Yambio, Western Equatoria State, with the aim of enhancing and protecting human rights. This initiative, supported by the United Nations Police (UNPOL), seeks to improve law enforcement, promote a culture of respect for human rights, and strengthen the rule of law throughout South Sudan.

Police officers and traditional leaders play a vital role in strengthening civilian protection and maintaining peace and stability across the country.
