The National Minister of Health Participates in the Medical Tourism Summit in the United Arab Emirates

The National Minister of Health, Dr. Yolanda Awel Deng, highlighted the importance of using technology to improve the quality and development of healthcare for patients in South Sudan. She pointed out that artificial intelligence will play a role in providing solutions and enhancing human health and healthcare. This was stated during her participation in the 2025 Medical Tourism Summit in the United Arab Emirates.

Minister Awel praised the UAE as an emerging hub for medical tourism globally and emphasized the importance of a multisectoral approach to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure quality.

Minister Yolanda encouraged investors to explore the vast opportunities in South Sudan, pointing out the country’s youthful population and its commitment to creating a smooth business environment.

The Minister expressed her gratitude to the UAE government, on behalf of the people of South Sudan, for facilitating access to services and supporting the enhancement of business and tourism.

Minister of National Health Dr. Yolanda Awel, along with representatives from the South Sudan Embassy in the UAE, participated in attending the summit.
