Government Launches Expansion and Implementation of IFMIS/HRMIS

The Ministry of Finance and Planning and the Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development signed the expansion of the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) and the implementation of the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), supported by the Public Financial Management and Institutional Strengthening Program (PFMIS)-PMU.


This signing marks the commencement of two projects aimed at addressing issues of workforce inflation, cleansing ghost names, and reorganizing and structuring payroll systems to achieve an integrated financial management system. Additionally, it seeks to coordinate and manage the data system across all levels of national and federal government institutions.


The signing ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary for Planning in the Ministry of Finance and Planning, Mr. Benjamin Ayali Koyongwa, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Service, Ms. Philister Baya Lawiri, the IFMIS Project Manager, Dr. McCarthy Phiri, as well as consultants and contractors involved in the two projects.
