Rainbow consolidate their position as runners-up by sweeping Amarat United

Rainbow FC strengthened their position at the top of the Juba Local First Division League table this season, with a massive four-goal victory over Amarat United in a match played between the two sides yesterday afternoon at Belk Stadium. The match between the two sides in the 15th week of the league was played yesterday afternoon at the Buluk Playground in Juba.

The team turned a one-goal deficit into a 4-1 victory. Amarat United took an early lead in the 15th minute through Chanong. That’s how the first half ended up.

Rainbow’s Gabriel opened the scoring in the 57th minute and Vitale added a second goal in the 69th minute.

In the 82nd minute, Muyang scored the Rainbow’s third goal. Garang rounded off the Rainbow team’s scoring spree with the fourth goal, which came in the third minute of stoppage time.

With this result, Rainbow took their tally to 23 points and consolidated their position at the top of the table. Amarat United’s tally stands at ten points in third place.

The tournament continues today with a match between Viva Star and Zilzal in the 15th week of the competition. Afternoon at Buluk Playground.
