Barcelona beat Real Madrid 5-2 in the Spanish Super Cup final

In the 2024-2025 Spanish Super Cup El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, Barcelona clinched the Spanish Super Cup title with a convincing 5-2 victory over traditional rivals Real Madrid, on Sunday 12 January 2025, in the final of the tournament.

Lamin Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Rafinha (two goals) and Alejandro Balde scored for Barcelona, while Kylian Mbappe and Rodrigo scored for Real Madrid.

The referee sent off Barcelona’s goalkeeper for a heavy tackle on Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe and Barça were reduced to ten men from the 57th minute of the second half.

Barcelona repeated the win over Real Madrid as they did in the Clásico de LaLiga.
Barcelona extended their record as the most successful club in the Spanish Super Cup, having won the title 15 times, while losing in the final 12 times, while rivals Real Madrid failed to win their 14th trophy, having lost the seventh final in their history.
