Coach Deng Abukalam has signed a new contract as head coach of Holy Family Rumbek.

The former El Merrikh Juba coach confirmed that he has signed a contract with the team, which is participating in the first edition of the South Sudan Premier League. He did not give any further details about the duration and value of the contract.

Coach Deng Abukalam resigned in December from Al Merrikh Juba, a club competing in the local first division, shortly after taking the job.

Aboukalam will officially take over as technical director of the team along with his support staff, who worked with him at Al Merrikh.

Holy Family Rumbek will face a tough match against Al Merrikh Bentiu in the third round of the Premier League. The team has three points in their tally and has a postponed match from the first round against Olympic Renk.
