Koryom Bor tightened their grip on the top of the South Sudan Premier League (SSPL) with a 1-0 win over Lion Hunters in the opening match of the third round of the competition at the Juba National Stadium in Juba.

Kiirya Christopher’s goal in the second minute of added time in the first half took Koryom’s lead to nine points, extending their lead at the top of the league with a third consecutive win.
The team won their first and second round matches against rivals Al Salam Aweil and Young Star Torit respectively.

With this win, Koryom raised their tally to 9 points in first place. Lyon Hunters are now on 3 points.
The tournament will continue tomorrow with Malakia Juba and Young Star Torit in the third round match in the afternoon at the Juba National Stadium.
