Thanks to the steady support from the World Health Organization, the cholera vaccination campaign is still ongoing in Renk County, located in the northern part of Upper Nile State, bordering Sudan.
In recent days, the region has witnessed an outbreak of cholera, prompting the local health authorities to request immediate intervention from the national Ministry of Health and international health organizations to address the critical situation faced by cholera patients.
Renk County has received thousands of displaced people and refugees due to the war in Sudan, and they are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. The World Health Organization, UNICEF, the national Ministry of Health, and other humanitarian organizations in South Sudan have responded to the emergency call.

The World Health Organization in South Sudan posted on its page that the cholera vaccination campaign continues in this border area, which is seeing a daily influx of returnees and refugees from Sudan.
