The First Vice President Discusses Security and Peace Issues with the UN Special Representative

The First Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, received Mr. Nicholas Haysom,

the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), in his office today.
#The discussions focused on several critical issues, including security sector reform, the humanitarian situation in the country, preparations for the upcoming elections, challenges related to managing the influx of

refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), the civic and political space in the country, the Tumaini Initiative, and other essential components outlined in the 2018 Revitalized Peace Agreement.
