Juba: Al-Naeim Mubarak Kuol
The employees of the Bank of South Sudan Central elected Mr. Atany James as the new Chairperson of the Workers’ Union.
A total of 239 employees out of 364 voted in favor of Atany James, while his opponent received 111 votes. Eleven votes were declared invalid, and three employees abstained from voting.
The term for the union chairperson is set at five years, and Mr. James will replace the former chairperson, Manyok Puor Jok.

Mr. Chol, who lost the election, welcomed the results and called on his supporters to unite and support the elected chairperson for the common good.
In a statement, Joseph Chol Dut, the head of the election committee, described the election as fair and transparent.
The election was overseen by representatives from the South Sudan Workers’ Trade Union.
The Bank of South Sudan Workers’ Union aims to promote the welfare of employees and foster teamwork among the bank’s staff.
