Rainbow move up to third place in the standings with win over Nyakuron

Rainbow FC moved up to third place in the local first division league table in Juba this season. They beat Nyakuron by three goals to one in the final match of the twelfth round of the league yesterday at Belk Stadium.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw between the two teams.

Rainbow added the second and third goals in the second half of the match. The match ended with Rainbow beating Nyakuron by three goals to one.

Rainbow raised their tally to 17 points and moved up to third place in the league. While Nyakuron’s tally froze at 9 points in twelfth place.

Al Liga 0 / 7 Atlabra

In a postponed match from the fourth week of the league. Leaders Aqraa swept away bottom side Alrabita with seven clean goals.

Kiir, Derek and Madit took turns to score the seven goals as they each scored a brace. Batista scored one goal.

Atlabara consolidated their lead at the top of the league table with 23 points. Alrabita remains at the bottom with no points. The team suffered their tenth defeat in the league this season.

Today, in the opening match of the thirteenth week of the league, the two teams Jamous and Munuki will meet in the afternoon at the Buluk Playground. Meanwhile, Citizen will take on Amarat United in a postponed match from the ninth round of the league at 1pm at Buluk Playground.
