South Sudan begin Cecafa junior qualifiers against Kenya

South Sudan’s U-17 national team will start their campaign in the East and Central Africa (Cecafa) qualifiers for the African Junior Nations Championship , which will be hosted by Uganda from December 14-29, 2014. The tournament will be hosted by Uganda from December 14-29, 2024.
The federation announced the schedule for the qualifiers on its Facebook page. Ethiopia and Burundi will face each other in the opening match of the qualifiers, while Uganda and Tanzania will meet in the second match. On the fourteenth of this month.


Our junior national team will start its journey in the qualifiers by facing Kenya on the fifteenth of this month in the opening match of the second group. Somalia will face Sudan in the second match.
Eight teams from the countries of the East and Central African region “Cecafa” are participating in these qualifiers, divided into two groups. The federation obliged the teams to conduct an MRI test to determine the ages of the players participating in the qualifiers.
It is worth noting that the Somali national team is the defending champions of the tournament that qualifies to participate in the Junior African Nations Championship when it beat South Sudan 2021 1/3 in Addis Ababa.
