Abyei Super Eagle looks to defend its cup title against Mading Achueng

Last season’s defending champions Abyei Super Eagle will face the challenge of rivals Meding Achueng in the final match of the South Sudan Local Cup in Abyei today.

The Abyei Super Eagles are looking to retain the title they won last season to ensure their participation in this season’s South Sudan National Cup.

The team qualified for the final of the tournament after sweeping Amadjang 3-0 in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Madig Achueng, who have been playing well in the cup this season, will go into the match with their sights set on the title and the championship trophy, eliminating their rivals and defending champions Abyei Super Eagle and winning this match.

Mading Achueng qualified for the final by beating their rivals Nile Abethook by two goals without reply.

The final match of the South Sudan Local Cup in Abyei was postponed from Saturday, November 30 to Monday, December 2 to make further arrangements to receive the President of the South Sudan Football Association SSFA, Agostino Madut, and members of the board of directors of the association, to attend the conclusion of the tournament.
