Al-Merrikh Advances to the Second Round with Victory Over Abyei United in the Cup

Al-Merrikh Abyei advanced to the second round of the South Sudan Local Cup tournament in Abyei for the 2024-2025 season.

Al-Merrikh defeated Abyei United 2-1 in the opening match of the tournament at Molmol Stadium.

Al-Merrikh took the lead early in the match through a goal by player Yak. John added a second goal for Al-Merrikh. Player Garang narrowed the score for Abyei United before the end of the first half.

Al-Merrikh attempted to widen the lead in the second half, while Abyei United players sought an equalizer. However, the score remained unchanged as the second half proceeded, and the referee ended the match with Al-Merrikh defeating Abyei United 2-1, advancing to the second round of the tournament.

Al-Mustaqbal 0 / 2 Amadjang

Today, in the second match of the tournament’s first round, Amadjang advanced to the second round after Al-Mustaqbal team failed to appear at the stadium, granting Amadjang victory and qualification to the next round.

The South Sudan Local Cup tournament in Abyei for the 2024-2025 season continues today, with Nile AbitHuok facing Agok United at Molmol Stadium in the third match of the tournament.
