Unity State Governor Presents a Comprehensive Report at the Eighth Governors’ Forum

The Governor of Unity State presented a detailed report on the third day of the Governors’ Forum for the states of South Sudan, addressing the achievements and challenges facing governmental work in his state.

Justice Riek Bim Top, Governor of Unity State, outlined key issues affecting local communities and reviewed the accomplishments and ongoing efforts.

The main focus of his presentation on his government’s programs revolved around the progress achieved in ensuring security and stability throughout the state and its relations with neighboring states. He provided a comprehensive briefing on the achievements and the scope of challenges, along with recommendations to address them and ensure peace and stability in the state.

Governor Riek Bim highlighted the achievements and challenges in areas such as peacebuilding and reconciliation, economic development, public health, reforming the public education sector, security and peace, infrastructure development, good governance, and transparency in public service.

The Governors’ Forum for South Sudan aims to promote dialogue and facilitate communication among all levels of government in the country, with the goal of enhancing policy coordination and exchanging experiences.
