Juba: Al-Naeim Mubarak Koul
The 18th meeting of the Monetary and Crisis Sector Group of the East Africa Community, hosted by the Central Bank of South Sudan, concluded in Juba after a five-day session.
The aim of the meeting was to provide a vital platform for delegates from partner states of the East Africa Community to discuss strategies to enhance regional cooperation, financial stability, and crisis management.

Dr. James Alic Garang, Governor of the Central Bank of South Sudan and Chairman of the Monetary Affairs Committee, was represented by his First Deputy, Samuel Yanga Mikaya.
Mikaya emphasized the significance of this meeting, stressing the importance of participants focusing on implementing the decisions reached and taking concrete actions to ensure continuous progress and stability.
The Central Bank of South Sudan will later host the continuation of the Monetary Affairs Committee meeting, which will involve a new group of delegates from the East Africa Community partner states, with a specific focus on testing macroeconomic prudential analysis.
