National Ministry of Health Discusses Cholera Outbreak with Multiple Sectors

The Ministry of Health held an important meeting with multiple sectors to discuss the cholera outbreak in the country.

The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Health, Dr. Yolanda Awel Deng, and included representatives from the sectors of Education, Water Resources, and Environment, as well as officials from local security agencies. The goal of the meeting was to coordinate efforts to combat the outbreak in several states of South Sudan.

The meeting emphasized the need for a unified approach and clear messaging on cholera prevention.

The United Nations representative, Mrs. Kiki Gbeho, pledged continued support in managing the crisis.

The health sector confirmed that high-level meetings would be held weekly, in addition to providing daily updates from a specialized technical team, with the aim of disseminating vital information through various media channels.
