Deputy Foreign Minister Receives Egyptian Delegation to Boost Trade and Industrial Cooperation with South Sudan

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Amb. Akuei Bona Malwal, today received a delegation of Egyptian business leaders led by Dr. Mohamed El El-Ohamy of the Ashour Group. The meeting aimed to explore opportunities to enhance bilateral trade and industrial cooperation between the Republic of South Sudan and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the meeting, the delegation presented proposals for various investment initiatives, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical sector, technological solutions to support healthcare delivery, digital transformation, and several other sectors of mutual interest.

Amb. Malwal praised the initiative, reaffirming the Government of South Sudan’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for foreign investment and supporting private sector growth. The Egyptian delegation, for its part, emphasized its determination to expand economic partnerships and strengthen opportunities for mutual development between the two countries.
