Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto announced on his official Facebook page the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Kenya and Senegal, during the official visit of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye to Nairobi.
President Ruto stated that Kenya and Senegal are working to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest, emphasizing both countries’ commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new partnership opportunities. He noted that the two sides are considering the establishment of a Joint Cooperation Commission aimed at removing barriers to trade and investment.

Ruto added that both nations have agreed to lift visa restrictions, allowing visa-free travel for up to 90 days, describing the move as a historic step toward strengthening people-to-people relations and advancing cooperation in tourism, trade, and investment.
The visa waiver agreement was signed at State House Nairobi, in the presence of Presidents Ruto and Faye, marking a significant step toward deepening Africa-to-Africa relations based on mutual cooperation and partnership.
