The Governor of Unity State, Justice Riek Bim Top, conducted a field visit to assess the progress of the road rehabilitation connecting the Roriah area, which links Unity oil field to Mayom County.
The visit started from point zero up to the Nam River tributary intersection in the Ngol border area.
The head of the project management team of the World Food Programme in Unity State revealed that the rehabilitation work is nearing the completion of land leveling and preparation with mud in Mayom, which will be followed by gravel groundwork.
The work is expected to continue up to the Abiemnhom area.
Justice Riek Bim Top reiterated that the success of this project depends on collaborative efforts from the local government and other relevant partners whenever possible.
Justice Riek Bim Top, the Governor of Unity State, confirmed that his administration is always prepared to make the necessary efforts to complete this project by March 2025.
