The visit aims to assess the impact of projects funded by the United Nations Multi-Partner Trust Fund (RSRTF) on local communities, particularly in terms of promoting stability and reconciliation.
Mohammed Almasri, Monitoring and Reporting Officer at the RSRTF, stated that the delegation would meet with government officials, community leaders, and representatives of youth and women’s groups to examine the outcomes of the implemented projects.
“We are committed to direct engagement with various stakeholders to verify how these initiatives have affected people’s lives in Yei,” he said.
Mr. Deng John Dkuei, Senior Inspector for Peace Monitoring at the National Ministry of Peacebuilding, emphasized the importance of such field visits, noting that they offer an opportunity to evaluate progress, identify challenges, and take corrective measures to achieve the desired goals.

Yei River County Commissioner, Mr. Emmanuel Taban Seme, praised the RSRTF project for its role in supporting peace efforts in the county, stating:
“The project has significantly contributed to promoting reconciliation and addressing the root causes of local conflicts, which has helped to strengthen stability in the region.”
