This morning, South Sudan’s Minister of Health, Sarah Cleto Rial, received the Country Director of Save the Children, Christopher Nyamandi, at the Ministry’s headquarters. The courtesy visit aimed to explore ways to strengthen joint cooperation in providing essential health services for children in the country.
During the meeting, Nyamandi congratulated the Minister on her appointment and expressed the organization’s eagerness to expand its partnership with the Ministry to improve children’s health, particularly in the areas of nutrition and access to primary healthcare.
For her part, Minister Sarah Cleto Rial emphasized the importance of joint efforts between the government and international organizations to address challenges related to child nutrition and ensure their well-being. She noted that improving children’s health is a national priority that contributes to supporting the country’s sustainable development.
The Country Director of Save the Children also reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to continue supporting government efforts to ensure that children in South Sudan survive, learn, and grow in a healthy and safe environment, thereby strengthening the nation’s development journey.
