In a significant move toward advancing the education sector in Western Equatoria State, the Maridi National Teachers Training Institute has announced the inauguration of a modern e-library and computer laboratory. This initiative is part of the institute’s broader plan to enhance digital skills, support academic research, and foster innovation among its students and the wider local community.

The Institute’s Principal, Mr. Jackson Ramadan, stated that these new facilities reflect the institute’s commitment to improving educational standards and providing a comprehensive academic environment that meets the demands of the modern era. He emphasized that both the e-library and the computer lab will be accessible not only to students but also to the broader Maridi community, thereby contributing to the development of a knowledge-based society.

Ramadan also announced the enrollment of 100 students into the institute’s two-year Certificate in Primary Education program—highlighting the continued role of the institute in training and qualifying future educators, and enhancing the quality of basic education in the country.

He affirmed that this initiative represents a pivotal moment in the institute’s journey—not only in terms of infrastructure development but also through its broader societal impact—as the institute positions itself as a center of excellence and innovation in teacher training.

Ramadan concluded by saying: “What we are witnessing today marks the beginning of a new era of inclusive, technology-driven education. We firmly believe that the future of education in South Sudan begins here, at Maridi National Teachers Training Institute.”
