Minister of Health called for increased investment in the health sector to improve services

The National Minister of Health  𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐘𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐀𝐰𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐠, has continued with her Calls for Increased funding to the Health Ministry to enhance smooth service delivery in the Health sector across the country.

Addressing the gathering during the High-Level National Dialogue and Engagement on HIV Prevention, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐀𝐰𝐞𝐥 urged the government and partners to prioritize funding for the healthcare sector. Adding that the Health Ministry is facing numerous challenges due to insufficient resources.

“We cannot deliver essential services without adequate funding,” 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐀𝐰𝐞𝐥 emphasized.

She expressed concern over the difficulties in providing timely care, particularly in the absence of essential services like ambulances.

The Health Ministries’ head stressed the impact of climate change on healthcare delivery, as many regions have been affected by flooding. She called for increased investment in the health sector to improve services and save lives.
