The Chairman of Derawet Media Group, Manyjok Kong Manyjok, welcomed the visit of the Director General to the group’s headquarters and provided him with an overview of the media operations, including print journalism (Al-Wadi Arabic Newspaper), the website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel.

Manyjok Kong explained that media institutions face many challenges, particularly in the digital media sector, social media, and the internet, which are supposed to provide benefits to users.

Adok stated that the country lacks a user database, which would allow citizens to benefit from social media platforms. However, there are ongoing discussions with Meta to explore how users in South Sudan can gain advantages from these platforms.
