President Salva Kiir Discusses with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Cooperation

During his visit to the United Arab Emirates, President Salva Kiir Mayardit met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the two leaders reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between South Sudan and the UAE. They discussed projects of mutual interest, including areas such as education, agriculture, and infrastructure development.

Ambassador Chol Mawut, the Minister for Presidential Affairs, stated that South Sudan and the UAE are exploring cooperation in several economic sectors. He added that the leaders will hold follow-up meetings to ensure mutual benefit for the people of both countries. Mawut also confirmed that a UAE delegation will visit Juba to discuss strategies with the relevant ministries, which have already been identified, and that both countries will work to expedite the agreed-upon projects in the aforementioned sectors in South Sudan.

President Salva Kiir returned to the country yesterday with his accompanying delegation. Minister for Presidential Affairs Ambassador Chol Mawut revealed that the visit and meetings between President Salva Kiir and senior officials in the UAE were fruitful and will benefit the people of South Sudan, particularly in terms of infrastructure development and services.
