South Sudan is preparing to host the non-electoral ordinary general assembly meetings of the East and Central African Football Association (CECAFA) for Region Five. On the 22nd of January this year.
This is the first time that the member associations of CECAFA member countries will meet in the capital Juba, since the South Sudan Football Association joined the continental organisation.
The President of the South Sudan Football Association, Agustino Madut, is the Vice President of Cecafa for the current session.
The venue for the meeting has been shifted from the Radisson Blue Hotel to the Imperial Hotel.
Heads of national federations under the Cecafa banner have been travelling to the country to attend the General Assembly and Cecafa meetings.
A number of issues of interest to the region in the development of football in the region are awaited by the member states of the Cecafa organisation.
It is worth mentioning that the Confederation of East and Central African States (CECAFA) is the fifth region. It comprises twelve countries. They are South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Eritrea, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Zanzibar.
