The Minister of Information of South Sudan, Michael Makuei, urged citizens to be patient and await the results of the ongoing investigation into the killing of South Sudanese nationals in Wad Madani, Sudan.
Makuei confirmed that the results will be announced to the public and reiterated the government’s commitment at all levels in the country to ensure law and order.
Minister Michael suggested including representatives from South Sudan in the special investigation committee for Wad Madani to ensure credibility.
Makuei once again assured Sudanese citizens residing in South Sudan of their safety, emphasizing that the government is responsible for their protection, and encouraged them to continue their work without fear.
Makuei rejected accusations linking the government or people of South Sudan to the actions of individuals abroad, stressing that these claims do not reflect the country’s policies.
He praised the country’s security agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace and protecting both South Sudanese and foreign citizens.
