Gudele narrowly passes Viva Star in Konyokonyo League

Gudele narrowly defeated Viva Istar by two goals to one in the Konyokonyo League. In the postponed match between the two teams from the thirteenth week of the championship at the Buluk Playground.

Gudele took an early lead through Christopher in the third minute of the kick-off whistle.

Karaba surprised Viva Star with a second goal in the sixth minute, which ended the first half with Goodili leading by two goals to Viva Star.

Nelson reduced the score for Viva Star with a first goal three minutes before the end of the match.

The referee added 8 minutes of stoppage time, in which Viva Star were awarded a penalty kick which was missed by Mengistu in the sixth minute of stoppage time. The match ended with Gudele beating Viva Istar by two goals to one.

With this result, Gudele increased their tally to 10 points and moved up to eleventh place in the standings. While Viva Star’s tally stood at 12 points in eighth place.

Nyakurin 0/3 Monkey

In a postponed match from week nine, Munuki defeated Nyakuron by three goals to nil at the Buluk Playground.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw.

In the second half, Redinto scored the first goal for Munuki. Faizo added a second goal in the 84th minute.

In stoppage time, in the 93rd minute, Mandela added the third goal of the match to Munuki’s lead. The match ended with Monkey beating Nyakuron by three goals to one.

With this win, Munuki moved up to third place in the standings with 21 points. Nyakoon’s tally stands at 19 points in fifth place.


Due to previous tensions, the match between Alrabita and Simba was postponed.This is a postponed match from week thirteen of the league.


The Konyokonyo League continues today, with Simba and Amarat United set to meet in the afternoon at Buluk Playground.
