Al Merrikh Bentiu swept away Lion Hunters Yei with a heavy score of six goals to two. The match was played yesterday afternoon at the Juba National Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the South Sudan Premier League in its first edition.

Al Merriekh took a 3-0 lead in the first half, with Mohamed Musa Aldhai, Dominic Aboi and Shikidi taking turns to score.
Mohamed Musa Al Dhai opened the scoring for El Merriekh in the 38th minute and Dominic Abou added a second goal in the 45th minute. Shikidi scored the third goal in the second minute of added time in the first half.

At the start of the second half, Tut Mayet added the fourth goal for Al Merrikh Bentiu in the 48th minute. Shikidi returned to the scoring column with the fifth goal in the 58th minute.

Gaitan rounded off the scoring for Al Merrikh with a sixth goal in the 68th minute.
The Lion Hunters scored two quick goals, Henry in the 86th minute and John in the first minute of added time to reduce the scoreline.

With this result, El Merrikh Bentiu increased their tally to 9 points. Lyon Hunters Yaye’s tally stands at 3 points.
