President Salva Kiir Mayardit officially bid farewell to three newly appointed ambassadors assigned to represent the country in Uganda, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia following their appointments to various diplomatic missions.
The appointed ambassadors are Mayom Alier to Saudi Arabia, Kuol Nyok Kuol to Egypt, and Paul Molong Akaro to Uganda. A special meeting was held with the President before they departed for their respective posts.
Ambassador Paul Molong Akaro, assigned to Uganda, spoke on behalf of his colleagues, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the President. He emphasized that the appointment is a significant responsibility entrusted to them to represent the country and advance its foreign policy in the diplomatic arena.
Ambassador Molong also praised the Head of State for the confidence placed in them, explaining that their meeting with the President aimed to receive essential guidance as they embarked on their diplomatic assignments in their new roles.
The President congratulated the three ambassadors on their appointments, assured them of the government’s full support, and urged them to work diligently to elevate South Sudan’s image on the international stage while fulfilling their designated responsibilities with dedication.
