Russian Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defense Forces Commander Killed

Ukraine has claimed responsibility for killing the commander of the Russian Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defense Forces, Igor Kirillov, and his deputy on Tuesday in an explosion in Moscow.
The Russian news agency TASS reported that two people were killed in an explosion at a residential building in the southeast of Moscow.


The Russian Investigative Committee confirmed in a statement: “An explosive device placed on a scooter near the entrance of a residential building on Ryazansky Street in Moscow detonated.”
TASS reported that investigators and forensic experts were working at the site of the incident along with other emergency service personnel.
It was confirmed that the commander of the Russian Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defense Forces, Igor Kirillov, and his deputy were killed in the explosion.
Ukraine claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that Igor was targeted in an explosive device operation.
