The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Ramadan Mohammed Abdallah Goc, met with UNICEF’s outgoing representative, Mrs. Hamida Lasseko, to bid her farewell.Minister Goc officially commended the outstanding work UNICEF has done in the field of education in South Sudan over the past years.
Mrs. Hamida Lasseko, the outgoing UNICEF representative, expressed her deep gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for his continuous support of UNICEF’s efforts to assist South Sudanese children.Mrs.

Hamida also expressed her appreciation for the friendly relations between UNICEF and the Government of South Sudan, noting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation played a significant role in coordination and providing the appropriate leadership that enabled UNICEF to effectively deliver its services to South Sudanese children, particularly in the field of education.
It is noteworthy that Mrs. Hamida Lasseko, the UNICEF representative, is retiring from service, with South Sudan being her last duty station before retirement.
