Lakes and Warrap Governors Meet Central Bank Governor to Discuss Ongoing State Projects

The Governor of Lakes State, General Rin Tueny Mabor, and the Governor of Warrap State, Francis Marial Abur, visited the Central Bank of South Sudan and met with Dr. James Alic Garang, the Governor of the Bank, at its headquarters in Juba.
During separate meetings, the parties discussed strategies to enhance cooperation between the bank and state governments to expedite the construction of the Central Bank branch in Rumbek, which is expected to open in early 2025, as well as the ongoing construction of the Bank of South Sudan branch in Kuajok.


The Bank of South Sudan has outlined a strategic plan to improve and modernize currency exchange operations and customer services in line with global standards. The plan includes establishing branch locations in South Sudanese states and the three administrative areas.
