Rapid Support Forces Announce Formation of a Civilian Government in Khartoum

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have announced the establishment of a civilian government in areas under their control to manage civil affairs and provide services to citizens.
In April 15 last year the fighting erupted on between the ( RSF ) and the Sudanese army  , forcing hundreds of residents to flee Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, after the government lost control of most localities. Government institutions ceased operations, worsening the suffering of the population.
According to a founding document published by Sudanese media outlets online, a civil council has been formed, consisting of 90 members from various localities in Khartoum State (Khartoum, Omdurman, and Bahri).
These members were selected following discussions in grassroots meetings that included representatives of youth, women, religious leaders, tribal leaders, and professionals in areas under RSF control in Khartoum State.
In a procedural session, Mr. Nail Babikir Nail Al-Mak Nasir was elected as chairperson of the session.He then oversaw the election of Abdel Latif Al-Hassan as head of the civil administration.
According to the founding document for civil administration in Khartoum State, the Civil Founding Council serves as the legislative body responsible for enacting laws and overseeing the performance of the executive body led by the head of the civil administration.
